QRilo Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the QRilo mobile application (“QRilo”, the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles user information.
QRilo is a privacy-focused iOS application designed to quickly scan QR codes and barcodes, store scan history locally on the device, and provide appropriate actions based on the scanned content.
1. Summary
QRilo:

  • Does not require users to create an account.

  • Does not send camera images to any servers.

  • Does not upload scan history to our servers.

  • Does not use advertising SDKs.

  • Does not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

  • Does not track users across apps or websites.

  • Does not send scanned QR code or barcode content to the developer.

  • Stores scan history exclusively on the user’s device.

2. Data Controller / Developer
The developer of this application is:
Developer / Company: FURKAN ARCA
Email: furkan@weheartux.com
Country: Türkiye
If you have any privacy-related questions, you may contact us using the email address above.
3. What Information Is Processed?
To provide its functionality, QRilo may process the following information locally on your device:

  • Scanned QR code or barcode content

  • Date and time of each scan

  • Code type, such as QR code, barcode, URL, Wi-Fi, contact, text, email, phone number, SMS, location, or calendar event

  • Parsed information required to display the scanned content within the App

This information is not transmitted to the developer, third-party servers, advertising services, or analytics providers. It is stored solely on your device.
4. Camera Access
QRilo requires access to your camera in order to scan QR codes and barcodes.
Camera images are processed entirely on your device. QRilo does not:

  • Save camera images as photos or videos;

  • Upload camera images to the developer;

  • Share camera images with third parties; or

  • Use camera images for advertising or analytics purposes.

You may revoke camera permission at any time through the iOS Settings app.
5. Scan History
To improve the user experience, QRilo stores your scan history locally on your device.
Your scan history:

  • Is stored only on your device;

  • Is not accessible to the developer;

  • Is never uploaded or backed up to our servers;

  • Can be deleted at any time from within the App; and

  • May be removed automatically by iOS when the App is deleted.

If you use iCloud Backup or other Apple backup services, those services are governed by Apple’s own privacy policies.
6. Contacts and Calendar Access
QRilo may request permission to access your Contacts or Calendar only when you explicitly choose an action that requires it.
For example:

  • If you scan a contact QR code and choose “Save Contact,” QRilo may request permission to add the contact to your address book.

  • If you scan a calendar event QR code and choose “Add to Calendar,” QRilo may request permission to create the event in your calendar.

QRilo does not upload your contacts or calendar information to the developer. These permissions are used solely to complete actions initiated by you on your device.
7. Wi-Fi QR Codes
QRilo can decode QR codes containing Wi-Fi network information and, if you choose, initiate the process of connecting to the corresponding network.
Wi-Fi network names and passwords are never transmitted to the developer. This information is processed only on your device for the purpose of displaying scan details or completing your requested action.
8. Links, Maps, and External Applications
Depending on the scanned content, QRilo may initiate system actions such as:

  • Opening a website

  • Opening a location in Maps

  • Starting a phone call

  • Creating an SMS message or email

  • Sharing scanned content

These actions occur only after your explicit interaction.
Once launched, Safari, Maps, Mail, Messages, Phone, or any third-party application will process data according to their own privacy policies.
QRilo is not responsible for the privacy practices of these external applications.
9. URL Previews
For QR codes containing URLs, QRilo may use Apple’s system components to display preview information such as the webpage title.
This feature is available only for URL-based scans. URL preview generation may involve Apple’s system services and responses from the destination website.
QRilo does not transmit this information to the developer’s servers.
10. Third-Party SDKs, Advertising, and Analytics
QRilo currently:

  • Does not use advertising SDKs;

  • Does not use third-party analytics SDKs;

  • Does not use behavioral tracking SDKs;

  • Does not use crash reporting or remote telemetry services; and

  • Does not track users across apps or websites.

As a result, QRilo does not collect or transmit user data to the developer as defined by the App Store Privacy labels.
11. Children’s Privacy
QRilo is a general-purpose utility application.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child’s personal information has been submitted to us through the App, please contact us.
However, under QRilo’s current architecture, scanned data is never transmitted to the developer.
12. Data Retention and Deletion
QRilo stores scan history locally on your device.
This information remains on your device until:

  • You delete it from within the App; or

  • You uninstall the App.

Users may:

  • Delete their entire scan history;

  • Delete individual scan records; or

  • Remove the App to delete locally stored application data.

Because QRilo does not store scan history on developer-controlled servers, the developer cannot access or remotely delete this information.
13. Data Transfers
QRilo does not transfer your scan history, camera images, or scanned content to developer-operated servers.
Since QRilo does not transmit personal information to the developer, it does not share or transfer such information to third parties or internationally.
Any action you manually initiate—such as sharing content, opening a website, viewing a location in Maps, or sending an email—is performed through the system application or third-party service you choose.
14. Security
QRilo is designed to keep your information on your device whenever possible.
Scan history is stored in your device’s local storage.
To help protect your data, we recommend that you:

  • Use a device passcode or biometric authentication;

  • Keep your iOS device updated; and

  • Prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing your device.

15. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data;

  • Obtain information about data processing;

  • Request correction or deletion of personal data;

  • Object to certain processing activities; and

  • File a complaint with the appropriate supervisory authority.

Because QRilo does not store scan history on developer-controlled servers, the developer cannot directly access your scan history. You may delete your scan history at any time within the App.

Users in Türkiye may have rights under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 6698). Users within the European Economic Area may also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes become effective when the updated Privacy Policy is published on this page.
If QRilo’s data processing practices change in a material way, this Privacy Policy and the App Store Connect Privacy disclosures will be updated accordingly.
